PROGRESSION, NOT ATTENDANCE

From supported practice to defensible independent judgment.

The residency increases ambiguity and ownership as guidance reduces. The aim is not to expect job-ready performance on day one, but to make progress observable.

REMOTE-FIRST DELIVERY

Structured live work, independent investigation and feedback.

Residents should expect approximately 12–15 structured hours per week across scheduled live sessions, case review, mentor feedback, practical labs, assignments and communication practice.

It is neither a purely self-paced video library nor daily classroom teaching. The emphasis is practical work and the ability to document and explain what the evidence supports.

ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

How a stage of work becomes evidence.

  1. 01

    Investigation

A resident works a guided or independent scenario and records what they examined.

  2. 02

    Documented reasoning

The evidence trail, hypothesis and remaining uncertainty are written down, not just concluded verbally.

  3. 03

    Mentor review

A mentor checks the reasoning against the evidence, not just the final answer.

  4. 04

    Competency tag

The work is tagged Emerging, Developing or Demonstrated against a named competency.
